MedSked is great for parents who need to give medications to their children or for caregivers of the elderly
Perfect – with MedSked I can keep pills in their original container; never guessing -- which pill is what, like I did when I put them in my pill box
I am always on the run and my dogs just can’t seem to tell me if I gave them their meds no matter how many times I ask them!! MedSked is a great way to let me know.
As a forty something you wouldn't expect that you would forget to take your medication. There were many days when I was taking my back medication, that I would ask my wife if I took my pills today. After using the MedSked, I didn't have to guess whether I did or didn't take the pills. The removed tab told the story. The MedSked remembered for me.
MedSked is a simple and easy to use solution for taking meds on time. Having a busy schedule I would occasionally miss, or question taking my medication. I have been using MedSKed with such success that I have introduced it to my family members.
With MedSked, even Hurricane Sandy couldn’t keep me from taking my meds on schedule. No electricity required!
I live in Watertown, NY. Do you have any retailers in my area? I think your concept is great. My husband is diabetic and I am constantly worried that he doesn't take his medicine. I think MedSked will make my life a lot easier.
Thanks,

Improving medication adherence can result in a dramatic difference in health outcomes. The Cochrane Collaboration, the gold standard for the evaluation of evidence-based medicine, has concluded: "Effective ways to help people follow medical treatments could have far larger effects on health than any treatment itself."
With nearly 3 out of 4 patients not taking their medication as directed, the importance of this issue cannot go on unattended. Medication non-adherence is a major problem for the United States Healthcare System. It continues to put lives at risk and costs 290 billion dollars a year in avoidable costs. It negatively impacts the quality of life for millions with chronic illness on long term medication, causes increased hospital admissions, repeat doctor visits, emergency room visits and can render new drugs ineffective. These issues can be significantly reduced or eliminated by putting in place effective tools and patient support programs that will increase adherence.
Med-Con Technologies' mission is to play a major role in helping pharmaceutical, pharmacy, insurance and pet healthcare companies improve health outcomes and improve medication adherence through the use of our MedSked product line.
The concept of MedSked was originally developed by a family member who accidentally overdosed on a chronic medication because she had difficulties remembering if she had taken it or not. After being rushed to the hospital for care, to help keep this from happening again, she created a simple device that would remind her to take and easily confirm she had taken her medication.
As a result, MedSked was created. Her goal from the beginning was straight forward: keep it simple and easy to use, yet be accurate and precise so that she would know at a glance she had taken her medication.
Med-Con Technologies is founded on the idea to provide a tool that is as effective as it is easy to use without dependence on technology. Our company is dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives and is committed to playing a larger role in helping improve medication adherence. Stemming from my sister’s experience, the goal is simple -- to provide a tool that is as effective as it is easy to use without the dependence on technology.
